Recresco and Encirc sign five-year contract

UK glass recycling company Recresco has announced a five-year supply deal with glass bottle manufacturer and filler Encirc.

The deal will see Recresco supply Encirc with processed glass cullet for remelt from its Ellesmere Port facility, for the manufacture of new glass bottles and containers at Encirc’s site in Elton, Cheshire.

Recresco Director, Tim Gent, said: “Glass is a uniquely sustainable material being infinitely recyclable with no loss of quality. At Recresco, we endeavour to drive as much glass as possible into remelt, its most sustainable use.

“We are firmly committed to reducing the environmental impact of our business and keeping glass out of landfill. We know that by working with Encirc, our product will be manufactured back into glass bottles and containers in the most energy-efficient way.
