Waste technology supplier AMCS Group extends reach with GMT takeover

AMCS Group, the Limerick-based supplier of software and vehicle technology for the waste and recycling industry, has announced the acquisition of fellow supplier GMT Europe.

AMCS provides solutions including on board weighing, mobile, analytics, route optimisation and recycling products to the waste sector around the world, with its main operations in Western and Northern Europe, North America and Australasia. Similarly, GMT has supplied waste management software to Central and Southern Europe, and Australasia, for over 25 years.

Following the acquisition from Dutch investment company Nedvest, which expands AMCS’s geographical coverage, the company will now employ over 350 staff, serving customers across 22 countries.
