Kit Strange Memorial Lecture

6 March 2019

The annual Kit Strange Memorial Lecture is held in honour of the late founder of the Resource Recovery Forum, an independent platform for waste research, information exchange, conferences and daily news bulletins. Kit Strange passed away in 2011 but is still fondly remembered as one of the first to embrace the idea of ‘waste as a resource’.

This year's lecture will be given by Mike Webster, Chief Executive of WasteAid. Currently, 1 in 3 people globally do not have access to decent waste management services, which has a significant impact on their health, as well as the environment and the local economy - Waste Aid is a charity that helps to deliver recycling knowledge and projects to address this issue.

The event takes place at Portcullis House in Westminster and is hosted by Barry Sheerman MP. Please arrive 30 minutes before the event starts to allow time to get through security checks.

Refreshments will be provided, and the event will also see the winner of this year's Resource Magazine Hot 100 announced.
