DS Smith rebrands as it integrates businesses
Recycling and waste management company DS Smith has revealed a new logo and website as part of its move to integrate its packaging, paper, plastics and recycling businesses under a ‘new unified corporate identity’.
The move follows on from the company’s acquisition of Swedish company SCA Packaging 18 months ago, which reportedly made DS Smith the ‘largest integrated and packaging company in the UK’. The firm now employs more than 20,000 people and has a revenue of more than £3.7 billion.
Group Chief Executive Miles Roberts remarked: “DS Smith has gone through a major transformation in the last few years. We are now able to offer a much wider product and service portfolio and operate on a much larger scale as a strategic partner with cross-industry expertise, while at the same time continuing to offer our customers a local, personal service…
“Bringing together our packaging, paper, plastics and recycling operations together means we can offer customers a complete service from design and production right through to supply and recycling. The decision to bring all our operations together under one clear strong brand was the natural next step for us.”
The company works with clients to develop ‘closed loop waste management solutions which enable 100 per cent of waste streams to be turned into reusable resources’.
Peter McGuinness, Chief Executive of DS Smith Recycling Division, added: “It’s all about making life easier for our customers ensuring they get the best value from their materials. We believe in minimising waste whilst maximising efficiency and cost gains.
“We are building on our cross business expertise and our joined up supply cycle thinking removes the complexity out of traditional supply chains and lightens the load of our customers”.
