Recolight to host training and advice workshop on LCAs and EPDs
Event in London on 27 November will tackle timescales, data requirements, and cost-saving strategies for lighting manufacturers.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) compliance scheme https://www.recolight.co.uk/Recolight is set to host an in-person workshop on life cycle assessments (LCAs) and environmental product declarations (EPDs) for lighting manufacturers on 27 November in London.
This training will equip producers with the tools needed to understand the timescales and data requirements of LCAs and EPDs, as well as how best to use product families to minimise costs.
Led by Recolight’s Environmental Metrics and Training Manager, Dr Max Robson, the session will also cover the importance of product specific rules and the role of luminaire specific PSR-0014.
The training aims to meet increasing designer, specifier, and end user demand for credible third party certified environmental metrics such as LCAs and EPDs.
The workshop, which will have a maximum capacity of 12 delegates, hopes to encourage interaction, feedback, and live demonstrations for each topic. Representatives of One Click LCA, who recently partnered with Recolight, will also be attending to answer questions about the operation of their LCA system.
Recolight’s CEO, Nigel Harvey, commented: “This workshop is intended to help lighting companies quickly get up to speed with LCAs and EPDs – to understand how to get started, what data they need to collect, and how to simplify and speed up the process.”
The upcoming workshop builds on discussions from Recolight’s recent Circular Lighting Live 2024 conference, held on 9 October in London.
