CIWM to promote Circular Economy Club certificate

The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) has announced that it will be partnering with the Circular Economy Club (CEC) to promote a new circular economy certificate.

CIWM will be promoting the CEC Certificate ‘Principles and Business Models in a Circular Economy’ course to its members, affiliated organisations and clients.

CIWM to promote Circular Economy Club certificateThe CEC Certificate is a professional credential offered by the CEC to people hoping to become circular economy professionals. The Certificate is awarded upon completion of a programme of self-study that covers a broad range of circular economy topics relating to circular principles, design of strategies, new business models and a generalist knowledge of other areas of the circular economy.

The course is suitable for professionals in the public and private sector, as well as students, and takes 15 hours to complete online, with a passing mark of over 70 per cent required on the final multiple choice exam for students to receive their certificate. Students will also be expected to commit to the CEC Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct.

Course participants are provided with full lifetime access to online materials, including 8.5 hours of video content, 22 real-life circular economy examples, six case studies and 50 related articles and resources, a summary eBook and an official Certificate and LinkedIn badge upon completion.

CIWM members looking to take part in the course will benefit from a 10 per cent discount on the course cost.
