Wood's good

It’s safe to say that neon, puff-ball sleeves and cat suits all come under the ‘fashion statement’ umbrella. Adding to this eccentric and eclectic style category, two brothers from San Francisco have designed wooden ties. Yes, wooden. Their company, Wood Thumb, began in January this year and has since snowballed across America’s west coast retail industry. The ties, made from reclaimed wood from old buildings, are said to be ‘the ultimate fashion-forward, upcycling statement to the world’. Held together by an elastic chord running through the tie and around the shirt collar, it’s certainly a lazy man’s answer to looking smart (and, apparently, stylish!). Get yours at woodthumb.com
