Credited with having opened one of the world’s first sorting plants that could sort plastic bottles by colour and polymer in 2006, and currently Managing Director of the world’s largest plastic bottle processing facility, ECO Plastics, Jonathan Short knows his way round plastic reprocessing. A self-labelled ‘recycler’ for the past 20 years, Short has gone from working at his family’s skip and scrap metal business in Newcastle to building Europe’s largest plastics reprocessing facility in a relatively short time.
