For me, the Kit Strange Memorial Lecture is an opportunity to catch up with old friends and reflect on the progress we have made, as well as acknowledge the challenges still ahead. In recent years, we’ve seen a shift in the industry; as we start to view our rapidly-diminishing materials not as waste, but as valuable resources that can boost our economy, there’s no denying that the industry is moving in a different direction.
