Appointments round-up 19/01/2015

The European Recovered Paper Council (ERPC), sustainability consultancy Ricardo-AEA, and plastic film manufacturer Cromwell Polythene have all taken on new employees in the past month.

ERPC

Henri Vermeulen

Henri Vermeulen, the Vice President Paper for Recycling of the Smurfit Kappa Group, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the ERPC, taking over from Intergraf’s Beatrice Klose.

His Chairmanship, which began on 1 January 2015, will run until the end of 2016 and will see him help manage the group’s ambitions of helping meet European paper recycling targets.

Vermeulen stated: “The ERPC has been very successful in carrying out qualitative actions on paper recovery, to improve the quality of paper for recycling in Europe. The challenge is to maintain the current high collection and recycling volumes in Europe, despite changing paper consumption patterns.”
